Being part of a sorority here at UK provides opportunities to get involved with not just individual chapters but also the Panhellenic Council! In addition to the elected leadership positions on the Panhellenic Executive Council, there are opportunities to get involved through our Junior Panhellenic Council and elected committees as soon as your first semester as a UK student. Applications for all of these groups open in the fall, so if you’re interested in applying for any of these organizations keep an eye out on BBNvolved for the application forms, and on our instagram @uk_panhellenic for more information about future informational sessions.

junior panhellenic council

The Junior Panhellenic Council is a group of young women that represent the incoming class of sorority women. This council was created in hopes of developing leaders within each sorority as well as teaching them about the benefits and purpose of Panhellenic. Junior Panhellenic is a great way to become instantly involved on campus and to create meaningful relationships among women in different chapters. The council is composed of a representative from each sorority who is chosen based on their applications. During the fall semester, the council puts on philanthropy events and programs for the Panhellenic community, as well as going as a group to volunteer and become more informed about various philanthropic opportunities available in Lexington! Their meetings also contain guest speakers that will educate the council about Panhellenic's role in the community as well as other topics that pertain to the council's growth as leaders.
