A Letter from Panhellenic’s Vice President of Recruitment:

Dear Potential New Members,

I remember it felt like just yesterday that I was in your shoes. Stepping onto the University, being by myself for the first time, so much excitement but so much nervous energy as well. I remember signing up for Primary Recruitment and wasn’t quite sure of what it would entail. Those two weekends that I was so nervous and worried for soon became some of the best moments of my college experience, and a home away from home that provided the same warmth, love, and care as the one I left behind!!

Going through Primary Recruitment is not just about joining a sorority for the next four years; it's about connection, true friendship, scholarship, empowerment, and becoming the woman you want to be by the end of your four years at UK! Recruitment is a time to begin finding who you are, your purpose, and what you want the rest of your life to look like!! It’s a time to be vulnerable with yourself and with others about who you are and the things you love!!! There is a place for anyone and everyone in this Panhellenic Community!!

This community has shown me what being a strong, courageous, independent, successful, loving woman looks like in action. There is nothing stronger than the bonds you will form with not only the women in the chapter you join but also the women in this community! So I encourage you to take the leap of faith, trust the process, and be all in because you never know what unbelievable love you will find within this community!!!

My last piece of advice, that I want you to hold near, is to always be gracefully true and authentically you!! Not just through Primary Recruitment, but wherever life takes you!

All My Love,

Morgan Whitis, Vice President of Recruitment
