Letter to the pNm

Founded in 1870, Kappa Alpha Theta is the first Greek-letter Fraternity known among women. Our chapter, Gamma Iota, was established on UK’s campus in 1945 and is rooted in the same core values as our founders. Our chapter embodies the idea of individuality. We believe in a membership that leads us into a life of friendship, experiences, and goals that we might not have had otherwise. Each member of this chapter is their own unique individual. We all come from different backgrounds and strive for different goals. Despite ones’ major, career direction, or interests; we come together under the core values of Kappa Alpha Theta. This is made possible through the support of our endless and welcoming sisterhood. We know and love each other for our imperfections and stand by each other during life’s hardest times. There’s no other experience like having 300 sisters rooting for you. Being a member of a Greek organization, especially one as unique as Theta, has allowed me to grow into someone I love. It has instilled confidence in me, given me lifelong friendships, and appreciation for the change I can make. I never thought three Greek letters could change my life. You have an exciting journey ahead of you, and we cannot wait to welcome you into the Big Blue!

Theta love and all of mine,

Madalyn Norton
