A Word From Our President

When I think about Theta, I think about the small moments that led me here three years ago.

Lining up outside the house between rounds during recruitment and immediately feeling welcomed and at ease, laughing in the living room after long days, showing up for one another during hard times, celebrating small wins, building genuine connections, and being surrounded by women who constantly push me to be better are just a few of the things that first drew me to this chapter. Those are the moments that made me fall in love with this chapter and inspired me to serve as Chapter President.

When I came to college, I was simply looking for a place where I felt comfortable being myself.

What I found in Theta was so much more than I could have imagined. Theta is a community that challenged me to grow, supported me without hesitation, and showed me what genuine friendships and leadership looked like. Choosing Theta has truly been one of the most meaningful decisions I've ever made, and I feel incredibly grateful to lead a chapter that lives out our values of faith, hope, and love every single day.

As president, my goal is to continue building a chapter culture where every member feels valued, confident, and proud of who she is. I want every woman in Theta to know she belongs here and to leave this chapter feeling empowered by the friendships, experiences, and opportunities she found along the way. What makes Theta special is not just what we accomplish, but how we care for one another while doing it.

Our commitment to service is a reflection of who we are as a sisterhood. Supporting remains central to our mission, and we are passionate about advocating for children in the foster care system who deserve stability, support, and a voice. We are also proud to support our campus community through efforts like DanceBlue Make-A-Wish, and Bring-It-On. The energy our members bring to these events speaks volumes about the heart of our chapter.

Recruitment is one of my favorite times of the year because it reminds me how impactful this experience can be and brings me back to when I was going through recruitment myself.

Watching new members find their home in Theta is one of the most rewarding experiences, and it reminds us why our bonds are so strong. The friendships formed here last far beyond college, and the support of Theta truly lasts a lifetime.

As you enter recruitment, my advice is simple: trust the journey. Be open, stay present, and focus on where you feel most comfortable and confident. The Panhellenic community is about so much more than letters; it's about discovering a community that encourages you to grow into the best version of yourself.

I am so grateful to represent Kappa Alpha Theta and cannot wait to share the love, purpose and sisterhood that makes our chapter so special
