Philanthropy

Philanthropy is an important part of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Kentucky. So far in 2017, Panhellenic women raised over $594,050 to donate, and invested 59,884 hours of service to various charities. Along with each chapter supporting their own individual philanthropies, the Panhellenic Council support an organization of its own, Circle of Sisterhood.

A way for PNMs to join in on giving back at the very beginning of the recruitment process is through the school supply drive which gathers supplies for local Fayette County Public Schools. The Panhellenic Council will be collecting school supplies on August 20th at the Rock the Block Party.

Circle of Sisterhood

Circle of Sisterhood is Panhellenic’s adopted philanthropy. Circle of Sisterhood (CoS) is an organization which empowers and stops the oppression of women through education. CoS provides young girls with the means to go to school in 22 different countries. The organization raises money to build schools where the attendance must be at least 50% female.
